WBJEE result 2021: The admissions process for undergraduate engineering, architecture, and pharmacy courses at 115 government and private West Bengal institutes will begin on August 13 and end on September 11, according to WBJEE Board Chairman Malayendu Saha. Mr Saha released the WBJEE 2021 results for over 60 thousand students on Friday. The results are now available at wbjeeb.nic.in, the board’s website.

According to the board chairman, the counselling process has been simplified this year, and a brochure is available on the WBJEE website.

The counselling process will be split into two parts this year. Only WBJEE qualified candidates will be considered for the next phase. Separate counselling will be held for students seeking admission through the JEE Main and NATA exams, he said.

On July 17, a total of 65,170 students took the WBJEE 2021 exam. A total of 64,850, or 99.5 per cent, have received ranks and are eligible for counselling.

Panchajanya Dey of Rahara Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home High School took first place, followed by Soumyajit Dutta of Bankura Zilla School. According to Mr Saha, Bratin Mondal of Santipur Municipal High School placed third in the exam.

Two merit lists have been prepared by the board. The general merit rank (GMR) list includes both paper 1 and paper 2 marks.

The Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) list is based solely on paper 2 scores. It will be used to determine eligibility for admission to Pharmacy programmes.

However, for admission to Jadavpur University’s Pharmacy, Engineering, Architecture, and Technology programmes, the GMR list will be used.

Wbjeeb.nic.in will soon have more information on the counselling process.
