The incident resulted in the injuries of two people. The five people who died were all from the Chauri Chaura area of Gorakhpur district. Mamta (35), Taani (13), Mayank (6), Maahi (4), and Divyansh (4) have been recognised (8).
The injured have been taken to the hospital, while the bodies have been submitted for a post-mortem, according to officials.
