Exam Structure and Question Breakdown

The Class 10 Science exam for 2025 will be divided into five sections, as per the CBSE sample paper released on the official website. Here is the breakdown of the exam structure:

Section A: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Assertion-Reasoning Questions

  • Total Questions: 16 MCQs and 4 Assertion-Reasoning type questions
  • Marks per Question: 1 mark each
  • Total Marks: 20 marks

Section B: Short Answer Type Questions (SA) – 2 Marks Each

  • Total Questions: 6
  • Marks per Question: 2 marks

  • Internal Choice: About 33% internal choice will be provided in the exam.
  • Competency-Based Questions: Around 50% of the marks will be allotted for competency-based questions that test higher-order thinking skills.
