CSEET 2024: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced the closing date for registrations for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) January session. Interested candidates must complete their registrations by December 15, 2024, to appear for the entrance exam scheduled for January 11, 2025.
Overview of the CSEET 2024
The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test serves as the gateway for admission to the prestigious Company Secretaries course offered by ICSI. This test evaluates candidates’ aptitude and knowledge across multiple areas critical to the Company Secretary profession.
Exam Format
The CSEET 2024 exam assesses students on four core subjects:
- Business Communication
- Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning
- Economic and Business Environment
- Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude
The exam will be conducted in Remote Proctored Mode, allowing candidates to participate from any location under strict online monitoring.
To qualify for the CSEET, candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate score of 50% and at least 40% in each paper. Notably, the exam does not include negative marking, providing an additional advantage to participants.
ICSI has outlined specific guidelines for the test, prohibiting the use of calculators, pens/pencils, paper, or notebooks during the exam.
Additionally, the University Grants Commission (UGC) recognizes the CS qualification as equivalent to a postgraduate degree, highlighting its academic and professional value.
Eligibility Criteria
To register for the CSEET 2024, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Students who have passed Class 12 or are currently appearing for their Class 12 examinations are eligible.
Certain candidates are exempt from the CSEET and can directly enroll in the CS Executive Programme:
- Students who have passed the foundation level of ICSI
- Final pass candidates from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
- Final pass candidates from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI)
- Graduates with a minimum of 50% marks
- Postgraduates
Examination Schedule
The CSEET is held four times annually, offering sessions in January, May, July, and November. This flexible schedule provides candidates with ample opportunities to appear for the test based on their preparation and convenience.
