Admissions After DU’s third cut-off List To Start On Oct 18

DU Admissions 2021: The application deadline is October 21, and fees can be paid until October 23. Over 51,000 people have already been accepted onto one of the two lists.

Admissions for undergraduate courses will begin on Monday under the Delhi University’s third cut-off list. Aspirants will have until October 21 to apply for their preferred course. The deadline for paying the fees is October 23. Over 51,000 people have already been accepted onto the two lists, with colleges over-admitting students to certain popular courses.

Admissions After DU's third cut-off List

The required marks for admission to courses have decreased by 0.25 percent to 1.5 percent, with popular courses still available in colleges, according to the third cut-off released by Delhi University on Saturday. Despite the fact that cut-offs are still high, there is a ray of hope for students because seats are still available. Following the third cut-off, on October 25, a special cut-off will be announced for candidates who were eligible but were unable to or did not take admission in the previous three cut-offs for whatever reason.

The declaration of special cut-offs will be contingent on the availability of vacant seats in the respective programme, according to the guidelines. The special cut-off will be the college’s most recent declared cut-off for the particular programme. “For example, if a college’s first cut-off for B.Sc (H) Mathematics for a specific category was 98 percent, but the college did not declare a second or third cut-off for the programme in that category, and seats remained vacant later,” according to the guidelines, “then the special cut-off for B.Sc (H) Mathematics for that specific category for college A will be 98 percent.” Candidates who have secured admission in any of the earlier three cut-off lists will not be allowed to participate in the special cut-offs.
