For the academic year 2021-22, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has opened the application window for admission to Class 11 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV). The application window for JNV Class 11 admissions for the 2021-22 semester will remain open until August 26. Applicants for JNV Class 11 admission must apply online at nvsadmissionclasseleven.in.
According to an official announcement, admission to Class 11 would be based on students’ achievement in Class 10 board examinations (CBSE/State Education/other recognised Board). Candidates’ birth dates must fall between June 1, 2003, and May 31, 2007, according to JNV Class 11 entrance criteria.
JNV Admission 2021: Steps To Select Students
- A district-by-district merit list will be created, and students will be chosen to fill the openings.
- A common merit list will be created at the state level once students have been selected to fill vacancies in the district’s JNV. Following step a), any vacancies in any of the JNVs in the same State will be filled from the State level merit list, taking into account the candidate’s option.
- If a candidate is chosen in steps a) and b) but does not join despite best efforts, unfilled seats will be filled solely from the State level merit list.
- Wherever a State Board assigns grades to applicants, NVS will gather marks from the State Board in question in order to compile a merit list.
