AICTE Releases Revised Academic Calendar

The academic calendar for the years 2021-22 has been updated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The induction programme for first-year students will begin on October 1st, according to the new AICTE timetable.

New Delhi: The academic calendar for the years 2021-22 has been updated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The induction programme for first-year students will begin on October 1st, according to the new AICTE timetable. The deadline for cancelling technical course seats with a full refund has been extended to October 20, which was formerly October 15.

The AICTE also announced offline/online classes based on the government’s COVID-19 recommendations. These criteria apply to technical universities that offer engineering and other courses, as well as independent PGDM or PGCM colleges that offer postgraduate management diplomas.

The deadline for applying to PGDM/PGCM programmes has also been extended from August 11 to September 20.

The deadline for first-year students to be admitted against vacancies in technical degrees has been extended from October 20 to October 25.

This academic calendar is not relevant to universities that have already finished the admissions process and begun classes according to the previous schedule. In such circumstances, the deadline for receiving a complete price refund for cancelling admissions is August 6, according to the academic calendar released on July 12.

The AICTE has encouraged all accredited institutions and universities to implement the AICTE/UGC standards. Furthermore, the Ministry of Health/ Ministry of Home/ Ministry of Education has released a freshly revised calendar, which is subject to alter depending on the rules.
