Examination Structure of the APSC CCE
The APSC CCE is a comprehensive exam conducted in three stages to recruit candidates for various state services.
Preliminary Exam
The preliminary stage includes two objective-type papers, General Studies I and General Studies II, each worth 200 marks. This stage has no negative marking and serves as the qualifying round for the mains.
Mains Exam
The mains examination is conducted offline and consists of six papers, including:
- One essay paper
- Four general studies papers
- One language paper
These papers carry a combined total of 1500 marks.
Interview
The final stage involves an offline interview worth 180 marks. Candidates’ performance in the interview, along with their mains scores, determines their final ranking.
Examination and Interview Timings
The mains exam was held from July 26 to July 28, 2024, in two shifts:
- Morning: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Afternoon: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
The exam schedule was as follows:
- July 26: Paper 1 (Essay) and Paper 2 (General Studies-I)
- July 27: Paper 3 (General Studies-II) and Paper 4 (General Studies-III)
- July 28: Paper 5 (General Studies-IV) and Paper 6 (General Studies-V)
The interviews were conducted from November 13 to November 29, 2024, in two shifts:
- First shift: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Second shift: 2:00 PM onwards
