A wealthy Thakur-Zamindar family from Uttar Pradesh (UP) desires a lavish wedding for their son Babloo (Sharman Joshi), who is still single at the age of 35. The plot revolves around whether his search for the perfect match will cause him to lose his ‘bachelor’ status or teach him to love and accept himself.

The film’s opening scene, which features matchmaking ads playing on the radio as Babloo drives home, sets the tone for the rest of the movie. He meets a lot of girls in his search for the perfect match, but nothing works until he meets Avantika (Pooja Chopra). He falls in love with her quickly, and they appear to get along well. But, as the wedding preparations get underway, she asks him to decline to marry her. Despite his grief, he keeps his family in the dark and goes about his business as usual.
Later, he meets Swati (Tejashri Pradhan) at his cousin’s wedding, and the two form such a strong bond that their families decide to marry them. She dumps him while he’s sleeping on their honeymoon, opting for a showbiz career in Mumbai because she won’t get another big opportunity if she rejects the show offer.

Movierulz and Tamilrockers leaks Sharman Joshi starrer ‘Babloo Bachelor’
After much reluctance, Babloo agrees to his father’s suggestion of returning to Mumbai with their bahu Swati. He meets Avantika, who bails him out after his first attempt to meet Swati lands him in the police station. She assists him in meeting Swati while working as a senior journalist for an entertainment channel.
Sharman Joshi gives a strong performance as a 35-year-old bachelor who has been looking for the right partner for the past seven years. As Babloo realises that love and acceptance matter more in the long run than a seemingly perfect pairing that may turn disastrous later, he aptly conveys the various emotions. Only when he shakes a leg in the wedding song ‘Banna Banni’ and the pacy pub track ‘Jealous’ does he seem out of place. Avantika is played well by Pooja Chopra (Commando), and Swati is played well by Tejashri. The supporting cast includes Rajesh Sharma as Babloo’s father, Manoj Joshi as his uncle, and Akash Dhabade and Sumit Gulati as his friends.
Babloo Bachelor is an intriguing premise about a UP man searching for a life partner and the women he meets along the way. However, Saurabh Pandey’s screenplay, for the most part, doesn’t work and, at times, drags on to the point where you wonder when and where it will end. There are also the cliched scenes, such as the father and son smoking and getting emotional about the latter’s marriage problems, Swati’s refusal to acknowledge Babloo during their first meeting in Mumbai, and Avantika’s inability to express her love for Babloo until her boss tells her to either get him or forget him.
The soundtrack, composed by Jeet Ganguli, is adequate, but you won’t leave the theatre singing along to any of the songs.
Overall, Babloo Bachelor could have benefited from better writing and execution. Despite Sharman’s genuine performance, the film falls short of expectations.
