IIT Kharagpur: Artificial Intelligence (B.Tech 4 years)
The first of the big five IITs to offer a course in artificial intelligence, IIT-Kharagpur launched a four-year BTech program in the subject this year. According to the official website, the Department of Artificial Intelligence’s degree program emphasizes a broad range of elective courses in subjects like computer vision, generative and graphical models, embedded machine learning, language processing, complex systems and social networks, and information retrieval. The courses offered consist of the following:
Foundation Courses: Programming and data structures, Physics, Mechanics, Calculus and Linear Algebra, Probability & Statistics, Engineering drawing, Data science, Electronics

IIT Guwahati: BSc (Hons) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati also provides a 4-year Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for undergraduate science students. The degree is offered through the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
According to the website, the goal of the course is to equip students with the necessary knowledge, abilities, and resources to pursue a variety of careers in the technology industry while also preparing them to meet the demands of artificial intelligence.
Participants may enroll in fewer courses than required in a trimester, according to IIT Guwahati. The entire curriculum is delivered online through the Coursera platform, with an emphasis on foreign students.
For practical training at IIT Guwahati, the curriculum also offers an optional 4-week campus immersion program.
Candidates must pass Class XII or its equivalent with at least 60 percent of the possible points, with mathematics being one of the required courses, in order to be eligible.
