Selection Process

Written Examination
The written exam will be conducted in two parts:
- Paper I:

- Candidates must write Hindi dictation at a speed of 80 words per minute for 5 minutes.
- An additional 20 minutes will be provided to type the dictated content.
- Before typing, candidates will get 2 minutes to review their dictation notes.
- Errors in typing must not exceed 10% to qualify.
Typing Test
- Candidates must type in both Hindi and English at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute.
- They must type 300 words in 10 minutes for each language.
- Error limits:
- Hindi: Errors must not exceed 5%.
- English: Errors must not exceed 10%.
Candidates who fail to meet the word count or accuracy thresholds will be disqualified.
Computer Proficiency Test
Candidates will be tested on practical knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet usage.
- Candidates who fail this test will be disqualified.
- Candidates with specific disabilities, such as total blindness or physical disability in hands, will be exempted from this test.
Application Fee
The application fee varies by category:
- General, OBC, EWS, and candidates from outside Bihar: ₹700
- SC/ST, female candidates, and disabled persons from Bihar: ₹400
The answer sheet for the written examination will have two copies, one of which will be securely stored by the commission for verification purposes.
Merit List and Final Selection
For the final selection, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination, while adhering to reservation policies.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case two or more candidates secure the same marks:
- Preference will be given to the candidate with the earlier date of birth.
