Ruturaj Gaikwad was forced to withdraw from the India vs. South Africa Test series due to injury. Abhimanyu Easwaran has been named as his replacement.

During the second One-Day International (ODI) match in Gqeberha against South Africa, Gaikwad was injured on his right ring finger.

Gaikwad had scans, and the BCCI Medical Team decided to rule him out of the rest of the tour after consulting with an expert, the Board of Control for Cricket in India said in a statement.

“Gaikwad will be reporting to the NCA for further management of his injury. The Men’s Selection Committee has named Abhimanyu Easwaran as his replacement,” the statement said.

Interestingly, Easwaran has also been selected to lead the India A team for the upcoming four-day series against South Africa A, which gets underway on Tuesday at Willowmoore Park in Benoni. The first Test between South Africa and India will begin at SuperSport Park in Centurion on the same day.

The fast bowler Harshit Rana will not play in the four-day match against South Africa A at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, the BCCI further announced, citing a hamstring injury. In addition to Kuldeep Yadav being released from the team, the BCCI Selection Committee added Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Avesh Khan, and Rinku Singh to the India A list.

In South Africa, the Indian team has experienced numerous injuries and withdrawals. During the third T20I in Johannesburg, Suryakumar Yadav twisted his ankle and suffered a Grade-II tear. As a result, he will be sidelined for seven weeks.

Ishan Kishan, the wicketkeeper-batsman, withdrew from the Test series against South Africa due to “mental fatigue.” As he had been traveling nonstop for the previous year, Kishan asked the Indian team management last week in South Africa to allow him to take a break, according to a report in the media.

Andrea Shaw is crowned Ms. Olympia in 2021. She was awarded $50,000 in prize money as well as the prestige of being the best female bodybuilder in the world once again. The competition took place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on Friday, October 8, 2021, during Olympia weekend.

Andrea Shaw Career and Competition

Andrew Shaw, a young and overweight adolescent, began working out at the gym after being persuaded by her mother. Taking training advice from her mother’s bodybuilding friend, she had no intention of competing because she wanted to pursue a modelling career. She did not, however, meet the height requirements.

However, like many others who are motivated to get serious about their fitness, the Detroit, Michigan native came across an Oxygen Magazine that featured impressive physiques.

What the future champion didn’t realise, however, was that she possessed superior bodybuilding genetics. Her ambitions, on the other hand, were to resemble those of a Figure competitor who aren’t quite as muscly.

Andrea moved to Physique after competing in Figure and not liking it, earning Pro status, but it was clear she was better suited for Women’s Bodybuilding.

She switched to bodybuilding after receiving advice from legends such as Lenda Murray, a multiple-time Ms. Olympia, and Margaret Marvelous (Margie Martin), and what a fantastic journey she’s had.

Andrea has won five competitions in the last five years, including the IFBB Omaha Pro in 2020, IFBB Rising Phoenix (2020 and 2021), and, of course, the IFBB Ms. Olympia in 2020 and 2021.

Division Details

Last year, when Women’s Bodybuilding was reintroduced at the Olympia, it was one of the most eagerly anticipated events, with fans and organisers eager to see the world’s biggest and most muscular female competitors take the stage.

Iris Kyle, a ten-time Ms. Olympia champion (most wins at the Olympia for men or women), was set to return in 2020 after her last win in 2014 and before the Olympia’s discontinuation of this competition.

However, due to health issues, she would have to withdraw from the show and would not compete in 2021.

Even without the legendary bodybuilder, there were plenty of elite physiques to compete for the top three spots, with Andrea Shaw, Margie Martin, and Helle Trevino vying for the top three spots.

Shaw won her first Ms. Olympia title, with Martin coming in second and Trevino coming in third. We didn’t expect much to change this time around in terms of who would finish near the top.

Though the two standouts were obvious and many of the other players put in solid if not spectacular work, it’s a credit to the players that no one fell below a baseline score.

Ricardo Pepi, an 18-year-old striker for FC Dallas, scored his third goal in two USMNT appearances as the US beat Jamaica 2-0 in Austin, Texas.

The result gives the United States eight points from its first four games in the CONCACAF Octagonal. Weston McKennie has returned to the fold after being sent home for breaking team rules during the previous window, but Pepi stole the show with his brace.

The Americans didn’t create many chances in the first half, but they did have three disagreements with officials, one of which came after only 18 seconds.

With nothing but green space in front of him, US winger Paul Arriola sprinted behind the Jamaican defence and was hauled down from behind by Kemar Lawrence.

The referee, Grenada’s Reon Radix, chose a yellow card over a red for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, most likely due to the distance from the goal.

The yellow card decision on a similar play in the 33rd minute, when Brenden Aaronson was charging toward goal only to be hacked down by Damion Lowe, who was cautioned, was also a source of frustration for the US bench. Arriola went down in the corner of the box just before halftime after being shoved.

There was no penalty from the referee, and no VAR was used to review it during qualifying.

With the win, the USMNT takes over first place in the CONCACAF World Cup standings, though the top two teams were scheduled to play in a late match on Thursday.

With only three wins from 13 games in IPL 2021, SRH has been the most out of form team, but even defeating them by this large a margin will be difficult. You can be sure that if MI does this, they will make history. In the IPL, the largest margin of victory is 146 runs, which was achieved by MI against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2017.

Novak Djokovic is a tennis player from Serbia.

With wins at the Australian Open, Roland Garros, and Wimbledon already under his belt, Djokovic fell short of being the first player to achieve a Golden Slam, winning all four majors as well as Olympic gold in the same year.

Before falling, Djokovic stormed into the semi-finals, leading Alexander Zverev by a set and a break. After a racquet-smashing bronze-medal defeat to Pablo Carreno Busta, he self-destructed before withdrawing from the mixed doubles match for third place.

Uchimura, a Japanese gymnast, came to the Games intending to write a storybook ending to his Olympic career.

Instead, his Tokyo campaign turned into a nightmare as the hometown favorite slid off the horizontal bar on the first day, missing out on a spot in the final.

Due to recurrent shoulder issues, the 32-year-old opted to focus on a single apparatus rather than defend the back-to-back all-around titles he won in 2012 and 2016.

“I’ve been able to equal the level of performance I’d attained in training in the past three Olympic Games –- but not this time,” he remarked after the bet flopped.

However, a sad Uchimura suggested that he could postpone retirement until after the world championships in Japan in October, allowing him to depart on a high note.

When he came to Japan, the American sprinter was strongly expected to add an Olympic gold medal to his 2019 world championship 200m titles and to head a new generation of American sprinters projected to dominate in the post-Usain Bolt era.

The 24-year-old from Florida, on the other hand, failed to reclaim his best form in the 200m, just avoiding a shock elimination in the semi-finals before being soundly beaten in the final by Canada’s Andre de Grasse.

However, the 26-year-old appeared to be off the pace from the start in Tokyo, placing fourth in his first heat with a slow 10.05sec before being ousted in the semi-finals with a time of only 10.00.

Naomi Osaka Osaka ignited the Olympic cauldron to commemorate the Games’ start, but her hope for triumph fizzled out on her return to tennis following a mental health hiatus.

She was knocked out in the third round after losing to eventual silver medalist Marketa Vondrousova in straight sets, citing the strain of trying to capture Japan’s first Olympic tennis gold as “a bit overwhelming.”

Kento Momota

Momota, a two-time world champion who entered the Tokyo Games as the top seed after capturing a record 11 championships in 2019, faced high expectations from his home crowd.

The 26-year-old was knocked out in the first round by an unseeded opponent and admitted to feeling intimidated in front of the cameras.

A Japanese swimmer wanted to defend his 400m and 200m medley championships in Tokyo, but he failed to qualify for the finals in both events and finished fourth in the latter.
