The Central Board of Secondary Education will establish a site for students to submit information and register for board examinations in grades 10 and 12.
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will open a site for schools to submit lists of candidates for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations, as well as registration for Class 9 and 11 pupils, for next year’s exams. Both amenities will be accessible soon, according to the board.
As a one-time step to address the issue of COVID-19 pandemic, CBSE will organise two examinations – term 1 and term 2/ year-end – during the academic session 2021-22.
The board announced in an official notification that the term 1 test will be held in November/December 2021, and the term 2 or year-end examinations will be held in March/April 2022.
The CBSE further requested that schools make the required preparations so that the list of candidates (LOC) and registration could be completed within the timeframe. “In a letter to principals and heads of schools, the board stated, “Your help in this matter is urgently desired to adhere to the time constraint and to avoid last-minute rush at the closing of the school.” Due to an increase of COVID-19 instances, CBSE cancelled the board examinations this year and graded students using a formula.
