Application Window: November 28 to December 20, 2024
First Merit List Release: January 17, 2025
Resolution of Parents’ Queries (First List): January 18 to January 27, 2025
Second Merit List Release: February 3, 2025
Resolution of Queries (Second List): February 5 to February 11, 2025
Subsequent Merit Lists (If Any): February 26, 2025
Admission Process Ends: March 14, 2025
Key Points to Remember Before Applying
Registration Fees
Schools can charge only ₹25 as a registration fee. Purchasing the school prospectus is optional.
Age Criteria
The age of the child as of March 31, 2025, must meet the following requirements:
- Nursery: 3 to 4 years
- KG: 4 to 5 years
- Class 1: 5 to 6 years
Parents can apply to the school heads for a 30-day relaxation in the upper age limit.
Selection Process Transparency
If a draw of lots is required, it will be conducted via computer or physical slips in the presence of parents. Schools must notify the draw of lots date at least two days in advance through their website, notice board, or email.
Guidelines for Parents
Query Resolution
Parents have a 10-day window after the release of the first and second merit lists to resolve any issues regarding the points allotted to their wards.
Donation Policy
Schools are strictly prohibited from asking for donations. As per a Delhi High Court order, any violation can lead to penalties up to ten times the donation amount received.
Unified Admission Process
A single admission process applies to both pre-school (nursery) and main school classes, as they are treated as one institution.
Required Documents for Admission
Here is a list of valid residence proof documents:
- Ration Card/Smart Card of parents with the child’s name
- Domicile Certificate of parents or child
- Voter ID (EPIC) of either parent
- Utility Bills (electricity, MTNL telephone, or water) in a parent’s name
- Passport of either parent
- Aadhar Card/UID of either parent
Reservation Policy
As per the guidelines, 25% of seats in private schools are reserved for:
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
- Disadvantaged Groups (DG)
- Children with Disabilities
