Candidates will be able to apply for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination at natboard.edu.in by November 18.
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2024 will take place on January 12, 2025, according to the announcement made by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The medical board announced the exam and registration dates in an ad published in The Hindu. Registration for FMGE December 2024 will open on October 28. Candidates who meet the requirements can apply for the test on the official website, natboard.edu.in.
Applications for NBEMS FMGE 2024 must be submitted by November 18. On the official website, an information bulletin with information on the eligibility requirements, application fee, exam pattern, marking scheme, admit card, and list of exam cities will be released shortly.
In order to be eligible to enroll as a medical practitioner in the nation where the institution that grants the qualification is located, a candidate who is an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) must have a primary medical qualification that has been verified by the relevant Indian Embassy.
In order to apply for the NBE FMGE exam last year, candidates had to pay a registration fee of Rs 7,080. Online payment options for the charge include credit card, debit card, and net banking.
FMGE exam pattern
The FMGE exam is divided into two halves, each with 150 questions, per the exam format. There are 300 multiple-choice questions on the entire test. No negative marking will be applied. If a candidate receives at least 150 out of 300 points on the test, they will be deemed passed.
The Medical Council of India (MCI) or state medical councils administer the FMGE as a screening exam to candidates hoping to obtain a temporary or permanent license to practice medicine in India.
