Landmark Achievements in the 60th Placement Season
This year’s placement season saw extraordinary milestones, breaking previous records in participation, placement offers, and salary packages. Over 8,000 newly qualified Chartered Accountants secured prestigious roles across diverse industries.
Highlighting the achievement, ICAI Central Council Member (CCM) Dhiraj Khandelwal shared on X:
“This year has been a landmark achievement, witnessing the highest-ever participation of 240 companies, the largest batch of newly qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs), and record-breaking salary offers, making it the most remarkable placement season in ICAI’s history.”
The average salary package for placed candidates stood at ₹12.49 LPA, reflecting a substantial increase compared to previous years. Additionally, Power Finance Corporation (PFC) extended the highest domestic package of ₹26.70 LPA, setting a new benchmark for placements within the Chartered Accountancy profession.
Rising Demand for Chartered Accountants
The placement programme underscored the growing demand for Chartered Accountants across industries. In contrast to slower placement trends reported for other professional degrees, including those from prestigious institutions like IITs, ICAI’s initiative continues to attract top-tier companies offering competitive salary packages.
According to Khandelwal, this success highlights the value Chartered Accountants bring to businesses, stating:
“This exceptional success underscores the growing demand for Chartered Accountants across industries.”

Adding to the recent highlights, the ICAI CA Final Results 2024 were announced on December 26. Candidates can access their results on the official ICAI website, icai.nic.in.

- Group 1: November 3, 5, and 7, 2024
- Group 2: November 9, 11, and 13, 2024
- Toppers:
- Heramb Maheshwari (Hyderabad) and Rishab Ostwal (Tirupati) shared the top rank with an impressive score of 508 marks (84.67%).
- Riya Shah (Ahmedabad) secured the third rank with 501 marks (83.5%), while Kinjal Ajmera (Kolkata) ranked fourth with 493 marks (82.17%).
