CA Foundation January 2025 Rescheduled: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has rescheduled the Chartered Accountant (CA) Foundation exams for January 2025 in consideration of major Indian festivals such as Makar Sankranti, Bihu, and Pongal.
Rescheduled Exam Dates
Initially scheduled for January 14, 2025, the exams will now be held on January 16, 2025. The revised schedule for the CA Foundation course is as follows:
- January 12, 2025
- January 16, 2025
- January 18, 2025
- January 20, 2025
Official Notification
According to the official notice issued by ICAI:
“It is hereby announced for general information that in view of Makar Sankranti/Bihu/Pongal festivals across India, Chartered Accountants Foundation Examination, January-2025, the said examination dated 14th January 2025 stands rescheduled to 16th January 2025. The complete schedule shall now be held as per the details given below.”
Candidates have been urged to carefully note the revised dates and prepare accordingly.
No Changes to Intermediate Exam Schedule
While the Foundation course exam dates have been revised, ICAI has clarified that there will be no changes to the schedule of the Intermediate Examination for January 2025.
The notification further emphasized:
“There will be no change in the schedule of Chartered Accountants Intermediate Examination to be held in January-2025.”
Public Holiday Clause
ICAI has also stated that the revised exam dates will remain unchanged even if declared as a public holiday by the Central Government, State Government, or Local Authorities. All other details remain consistent with the earlier announcement dated September 20, 2024.
Exam Timings
Foundation Course
- Paper I and Paper II: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Paper III and Paper IV: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Intermediate Course
- All Papers: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Reading Time: 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM for all papers except Foundation Papers III and IV
