CISCE Board Exam 2022: The academic year will be divided into two semesters, with each semester covering about half of the material.
The Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will use a new way of conducting examinations for the board examinations in 2022. The academic year will be divided into two semesters, with each semester covering roughly half of the syllabus, according to the Board.
In light of the interruption in educational activities caused by COVID-19, the Board has also modified the syllabi for certain topics for ICSE and ISC students. The ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) condensed syllabuses for the next year have been separated into two halves, with the units/subunits to be covered in each semester clearly defined. CISCE First, Second Semester Exams
Exams will be administered by the CISCE at the conclusion of each semester.
The first-semester test will be held in November 2021, and it will only cover the fraction of the curriculum (reduced syllabus for ICSE/ISC examination year 2022) that is designated for the first semester.
The first semester’s test will be an online MCQ-based examination.
The second-semester test will be placed in March and April 2022 and will cover solely the second-semester section of the course.
Depending on the pandemic scenario in the country, the second-semester test will be performed online or offline.
For each semester test, the question papers will be 80/100 for ICSE and 70/80 for ISC. The weightage of marks (for each of the semesters) to be utilised in the final computation of the CISCE board exam results would, however, be reduced to half.
CISCE Practical, Project Work
Candidates will be evaluated on practical and project work at the ISC level in addition to the tests held at the conclusion of each of the two semesters during the academic year 2021-22.
The ISC Practicals will be done offline if the scenario permits. The online/virtual method shall be used if the environment is not suitable owing to the pandemic and applicants are unable to attend their respective schools to take the practical examination.
Internal evaluation at the ICSE level will also be used to evaluate candidates.
“As indicated in the ICSE and ISC condensed curricula, schools will be obliged to guarantee that all students complete the prescribed practical/project work/internal assessment. Visiting examiners (for ISC)/internal examiners may assess and mark the same,” CISCE stated in an official notification.
