The AICTE has authorised the establishment of a new MIT campus in Bengaluru, which would provide MET counselling. As a result, a new MET counselling schedule for cycle 3 will be released soon.
For future rounds, the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will shortly announce a new MET counselling schedule for 2021. Due to the approval of a new engineering campus at MIT, the MET 2021 counselling timetable has been revised from round 3. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has authorised the establishment of the ‘Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) Bengaluru’, a new engineering campus in Bengaluru. As a result, this school will now be included in MET 2021 counselling, and the authorities will shortly announce a revised timetable on the official webpage.
MAHE had previously announced the whole seven-round MET counselling programme for 2021. So far, two of the seven rounds of MET counselling 2021 have been successfully completed. The first round of MET seat allocation was announced on July 21, and the second round was announced on August 4. The registration for MET round 3 counselling was supposed to start on August 11, however, the dates have been pushed back, and a revised schedule containing the round 3 MET counselling dates will be issued later.
MET Counselling Procedure 2021
There will be seven sessions of MET 2021 counselling available online. However, depending on the vacancy, the authorities may perform an extra round of MET counselling before or after the spot round (if any). The following are the various phases of the MET counselling procedure 2021:
- Registration for MET counselling.
- Filling of your choice.
- Allotment of seats.
- Payment of the first instalment of the course cost and the rest of the course fee (Installment 2).
- Waitlisting.
- Reservations for a hostel.
Candidates should be aware that at the commencement of each round, new MET 2021 counselling registrations will be permitted. Candidates must register for MET counselling 2021 by using their application number as the login ID and the OTBS (Online Test Slot Booking) password as the password on the counselling portal. From June 11 to 14, MET 2021 was offered as a remote-proctored test. On the official website, the MET results for 2021 were announced.
