NEET UG 2021 BSc Nursing: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET 2021), which outlines the requirements for admission to BSc nursing programs.
NEET 2021: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notification for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET 2021), which details the eligibility requirements for candidates seeking admission to BSc nursing programs via the national-level entrance exam. According to the NTA, the minimum age for admission is “17 years as of December 31 of the year for which admission is sought.” This, however, is an “interim measure,” according to the agency. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility requirements of various institutions.
“…the INC’s eligibility criteria are the bare minimum. Candidates seeking admission to various Nursing Colleges/Institutes’ B.Sc. (Nursing) programs are advised to check the eligibility criteria with the respective Colleges/Institutes/Deemed Universities. The NTA has no role in establishing eligibility criteria; these are communicated in accordance with INC. This is a stopgap measure, according to the NTA.
According to the NTS, “at the qualifying examination (Class 12), a candidate must have passed individually in the disciplines of PCB (Chemistry, Physics, and Biology) and English, with a minimum of 45 percent aggregate in PCB.”
Students from state open schools and the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) who study science and English are also eligible, according to the statement.
“Candidate from SC/ST or Other Backward Classes (OBC) will need to have 40% in PCB taken together in the qualifying examination instead of 45 percent for General as specified above,” it stated.
According to the reservation scheme, 3% of the seats will be reserved for Divyangjan candidates, who have a locomotor disability of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity, and all other eligibility criteria, such as age and qualification, will be the same as for other candidates.
NEET 2021 will take place on September 12th, and the deadline to apply is August 10th.
