NEET-PG 2021 Concludes; 1.6 Lakh Candidates Appeared

NEET PG 2021 was held today utilising COVID-19 procedures at 679 locations in 270 cities. The NEET-UG 2021 exam will be held on September 12th.

NEW DELHI: On Saturday, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) – Postgraduate was held at 679 locations throughout the nation, with 1.6 lakh applicants taking part in COVID-19 procedures.

Due to COVID-19, the exam was rescheduled twice. In a tweet, Congressman Shashi Tharoor stated that several students had complained to him about a last-minute exam centre change that had caused them trouble.

When asked about it, Professor Pawanindra Lal, Executive Director of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), said that due to security concerns, two centres in Sonipat and Panipat were changed on September 8 and 9, respectively, and candidates were relocated to new centres in Delhi.

“Every care was taken to tell each and every applicant individually by phone calls, emails, and SMS to ensure they download and print the revised admit card with updated centres and are able to get at the site on time,” Professor Lal added.

The NEET-PG was originally planned for January 10, but due to the COVID-19 issue, it was delayed until April 18. On the directives of the PMO, it was rescheduled due to the second Covid wave. The exam would be held after August 31st, according to those guidelines.

The Delhi-NCR area saw severe rains on the day of the examinations, causing flooding and traffic congestion in various sections of the city. On September 12, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) – Undergraduate, 2021 will be held.
