NTA is expected to release the NEET 2021 results soon. The AIQ will handle medical college admissions, and state counselling will begin after that.
On the official website neet.nta.nic.in, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon announce the NEET UG result 2021. Students who pass the exam will be able to apply for a variety of medical programmes through the AIQ (All India Quota), as well as central and state counselling.
Here are five things to know about the counselling process.
- NEET counselling is held separately for 15 percent AIQ and 85 percent state quota seats. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counselling of the centrally-funded institutions and seats in state-run institutions given towards the 15 percent AIQ.
- Like MCC, the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) conducts NEET counselling for BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS programmes under the AIQ.
- BSc Nursing and BSc Life Sciences are two new programmes that will demand NEET results for admissions starting from this year.
- NEET AIQ counselling 2021 for BVSc and AH courses will be conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). The official website for VCI counselling is vcicounseling.nic.in.
- In Maharashtra, the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET cell) will conduct NEET counselling for state quota seats.
