NEET-SS 2021 To Follow Old Pattern, New Pattern From 2022-23

NEET SS 2021 Old Pattern: The union government notified the Supreme Court on Wednesday that the NEET super speciality (SS) exam for this year will be held according to the old examination pattern.

It further stated that the revised exam format, which was challenged in the Supreme Court, will be adopted beginning next year, in 2022-23.

Based on a petition submitted by a group of 41 doctors, the highest court recorded this statement and ended all ongoing actions in connection with NEET SS.

The physicians stated that they had prepared for the exam using an earlier design that had been in use since 2018.

According to the physicians, NEET SS was published on July 23, but the National Board of Examinations (NBE), which conducts the exam, announced a modification in the exam format on August 31.

The exam was scheduled for the 13th and 14th of November.

The centre has requested two months to hold the exam in the former format.

NEET SS 2021 will be held on January 10, 11 next year for admission to approximately 4,200 seats in the DM (Doctorate of Medicine), M.Ch (Master of Surgery), and DrNB (Doctorate of Nursing) programmes (Doctorate of National Board).

While passing this order, the bench of Justices Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud, Vikram Nath, and BV Nagarathna stated that all objections brought against the legality of the new examination pattern shall be challenged.
