NEET UG 2025 Round 1 Counselling Timeline: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened the registration window for NEET UG 2025 counselling Round 1, marking the start of admissions into MBBS, BDS, and related courses in government and participating private institutions. With over 12.36 lakh qualifiers from the NEET UG exam, timely registration and choice filling are crucial for securing coveted medical seats.

Round 1 registration and fee payment run from July 21 to July 28, 2025 (3 PM), followed by choice filling through July 28 (11:55 PM). The seat allotment results will be announced on July 31, and allotted candidates must join their institutions between August 1 and August 6. All participating colleges will treat weekends and public holidays as working days to adhere to this tight schedule.

Round 1 Registration & Choice Submission

Candidates must visit mcc.nic.in, select “UG Medical Counselling”, and then click on the NEET UG 2025 Registration link. They will provide personal and academic details, set a password, and pay the registration fee online. After successful payment, applicants can fill and lock up to 100 college–course preferences within the stipulated time.

What to Expect After Allotment

On July 31, MCC will publish the Round 1 seat allotment results. Allotted candidates must download their allotment letter, report to the allotted institution between August 1 and 6, and undergo document verification from August 7–8. Failure to report by August 6 will forfeit the seat, making the candidate eligible for subsequent rounds if desired.

Upcoming Counselling Phases

  • Round 2 (AIQ/Deemed/Central): Registration Aug 12–18; choice filling Aug 13–18; allotment Aug 19–20; joining Aug 22–29.
  • Round 3: Registration Sep 3–8; allotment Sep 9–10; joining Sep 12–18.
  • Stray Vacancy Round: Sep 22–24 registration; choice filling Sep 24–25; allotment Sep 25–26; joining Sep 27–Oct 3.

States conducting 85% State Quota counselling (e.g., UP, Assam, Punjab) have independent schedules; candidates should consult respective state portals.
