NIRF Ranking 2021: St Xavier’s College, Calcutta University Tops

The University of Calcutta is ranked fourth in the NIRF rankings, while Jadavpur University (JU) is ranked eighth.

The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Banaras Hindu University, all central universities, are located above Calcutta University (CU). Among all state-run universities in the country, the varsity has topped the rankings. St Xavier’s College finished in fourth place among colleges, while Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandir, Howrah, placed in fifth. “According to the NIRF India Rankings ’21, Calcutta University and Jadavpur University are the top-ranked universities in India.”

St Xavier’s College in Kolkata and Ram Krishna Mission Vidyamandir in Howrah were both ranked first among colleges. “Congratulations to everyone,” the CM said on the microblogging site. The vice-chancellor of CU, Sonali Chakraborty Banerjee, told PTI that the success should be ascribed to her university’s students and teachers.

“I’m ecstatic to learn that CU has been recognised as the country’s fourth-best university in terms of composite performance. We will work even harder in the days ahead. “she stated JU has “always tried its best to create a perfect academic and research work environment” for its students, professors, and staff, according to a senior official. “In the future, we will set bigger targets,” the official continued. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is the most authoritative national system for evaluating educational institutions.
