Eligibility Criteria and Age Relaxation

To be considered eligible, applicants must have completed BE/BTech/BSc (Engineering) or a five-year integrated MTech degree in the relevant discipline, securing at least 60% marks from a recognized university. GATE qualification is mandatory for all applicants.

The upper age limits for applicants, based on categories, are as follows:

  • General/EWS: 26 years

  • SC/ST: 31 years

Candidates are advised to review the detailed eligibility guidelines in the official notification to ensure compliance before submitting the application.

  • Reserved category candidates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD): Minimum 60%

Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be appointed as Scientific Officers (Group C) with a starting salary of ₹56,100 per month, in addition to standard government allowances and benefits.

This structure ensures not only financial stability during training but also a clear career progression path post-confirmation, especially within one of India’s critical infrastructure sectors.

Application Fee and Submission Guidelines
