DoTE, Tamilnadu has published the TNEA 2021 rank list on the official website, tneaonline.org, today.
Today, September 14, the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) issued the TNEA 2021 rank list.
The ranking list may be seen at tneaonline.org. Students can access the TNEA 2021 rank list by logging in using their email addresses and password.
The TNEA rank list for 2021 is compiled using the candidates’ qualifying exam results. The marks earned by candidates in the qualifying examination subjects are transformed to a base of 200 marks for the TNEA 2021 rank list preparation (maths- 100 marks and chemistry and physics – 100 marks).
The marks achieved by candidates in related subjects (100 marks) and vocational subjects, including theoretical and practical, are transformed to a base of 200 marks for vocational stream students (100 marks).
Students are accepted to the numerous self-financing and government-aided engineering institutions in Tamil Nadu, which has one of the highest numbers of engineering colleges in the country, based on their ranks.
TNEA Rank List 2021
Every year, the TNEA is organised by the Tamil Nadu government’s Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE). Seats are assigned solely on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the qualifying exam. The admissions process is based on the results of the qualifying exam.

- Click on link provided for TNEA rank list
- Rank card login page is displayed
- Enter the user ID, password and other login details
- Click on the submit button
- Rank list will appear
- Check the rank
- Download and take a print out of the rank list
TNEA Merit list 2021
The ranks are assigned to registered applicants based on their performance in the qualifying exam. The TNEA merit list is compiled based on the grades received in four subjects: math, physics, and chemistry, which are all lowered to 200 points.
TNEA 2021 rank list – Tie breaker rule
If two or more applicants have the same score, the exam board will use the tie-breaking rule to break the tie. The TNEA tie-breaking rule for the 2021 TNEA rank list is listed below.
Step 1: Candidates with a higher math percentage will be assigned a higher rank.
Step 2: Candidates with higher Physics % scores will receive a higher TNEA rank in 2021.
Step 3: Candidates with better percentage marks in the fourth optional subject will receive a higher ranking.
Step 4: Candidates older in age will receive a higher TNEA rank.
Step 5: The TNEA Random Number will be used to break the tie. Candidates with a higher Random Number value will receive a better ranking.
