World University Ranking 2022: IISc Ranks 18; IITs In Top 100

World University Ranking 2022: In India’s top 100 universities, IISc Bangalore is ranked 18th, followed by JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, IIT Indore, and IIT Ropar.

In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking 2022 for Emerging Economies, the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore was ranked 18th. In the top 100 list of world’s universities for Emerging Economies, IISc Bangalore is followed by JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysore, IIT Indore, and IIT Ropar. IIT Indore and IIT Ropar are ranked 84th and 86th, respectively, while JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research is ranked 73rd.

World University Ranking 2022

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT), and Delhi Technological University (DTU) are ranked 140, 159, 172, 185, 188, and 191 respectively in the 101-200 bracket. The 201-250 bracket includes the University of Delhi (DU) and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, while the 251-300 bracket includes Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Anna University, IIT Dhanbad, IIT Patna, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and NIT Silchar.

The 301-350 bracket includes Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, NIT Rourkela, and NIT Trichy. The 351-400 bracket includes IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Mandi, Jamia Hamdard University, and the University of Mumbai, while the 401-500 bracket includes NIT Jalandhar.

THE World University Ranking 2022

IN THE World University Rankings 2022 for Emerging Economies, India has 89 universities this year. China has five of the top five universities in THE World University Ranking 2022 for Emerging Economies. THE FTSE Group’s Emerging Economies University Rankings 2022 includes institutions from countries or regions classified as “advanced emerging,” “secondary emerging,” or “frontier” by the London Stock Exchange.

The ranking, which includes universities primarily from mainland China, India, and Russia, demonstrates the secondary emerging countries’ continued and growing strength. Three Indian universities made it into the top 400 universities in the Times World University Rankings 2022, according to the Times Higher Education. The top 400 universities were the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, and JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research.

The NIRF Rankings 2021 were recently announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for ten different categories, including Overall, Universities, Engineering, Colleges, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, and so on. The top university in the country is the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
