World University Ranking List 2022: The Times Higher Education has released the World University Ranking by Subject for 2022, which includes four new subjects: social sciences, education, business and economics, and law. This year, no Indian university has been ranked among the top 100 universities in the world.
However, JNU is the best university in India for Social Sciences, ranking in the 401-500 bracket, followed by Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, and Delhi University in the second, third, and fourth places, respectively. These three universities are among the top 501-600 universities in the United States.
Jamia Millia Islamia is in the 401-500 range for Business and Economics, followed by Lovely Professional University (501-600), Amity University (601+), and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (601+). Saveetha University and Symbiosis International University, on the other hand, are the only two law schools in the overall THE rankings. The recently published list of the best universities for Computer Science, and India’s Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, came in at number 81, making it the only Indian institute to make the top 100 list. The best universities in the world to study these subjects are MIT, Stanford, Cambridge, Oxford, and Harvard.
