CBSE Exams 2024 Counselling
CBSE pre exam psychological counselling will be conducted in two phases.

CBSE Exams 2024: Starting tomorrow, January 1, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will offer psychological counseling. With the help of this CBSE initiative, parents and students will be better prepared to handle exam stress. On January 1st and February 15th, the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams will begin

This program of psychological counseling is offered in two stages: prior to the exam and following the results. Its goal is to reduce exam stress for students in Classes 10 and 12 of schools affiliated with the CBSE

This will mark the 26th year that CBSE has offered this psychological counseling program; it began in 1998. Over the years, in addition to sharing other significant information on social media, the Board has actively engaged with students through the use of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms.

“Audio-visual content on youth experiences, aggression, depression, internet addiction disorder, examination stress, multimedia content on various topics such as specific learning disabilities, substance use disorders and life skills to deal with them can also be viewed and listened to.” said CBSE in a statement.

Key features of the CBSE counselling program

Following are some key features of the CBSE pre-exam psychological counselling procedure.

  • IVRS: During this counselling programme students and parents will have free access to IVRS facilities around the clock by calling the board’s toll-free number, 1800-11-8004. This provides access to key contact details for CBSE offices, frequently asked questions (FAQs), stress-free exam preparation tips, and time and stress management in both Hindi and English.
  • Podcasts: Additionally, Informative and engaging bilingual podcasts on diverse topics related to exam preparation and stress management are accessible on the CBSE website at cbse.gov.in.
  • Tele-counselling: Tele-counselling by 65 trained counsellors, special educators, and principals from CBSE schools will also offer personalized guidance from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. This service extends even beyond India, with counsellors available in Kuwait, Nepal, Japan, and the Middle East.

CBSE’s pre-exam counselling programme prioritises mental well-being in addition to academic preparation, enabling students to approach exams with increased resilience and confidence. This method distinguishes CBSE as a pioneer in student-centered learning by creating a relaxed and upbeat atmosphere that promotes peak performance.
