Windows 11 Installation Assistant: Step By Step Process

Windows 11 Installation Assistant: After a long wait from fans and enthusiasts, Windows 11 has finally been launched, and the Windows 11 Installation Assistant is now available to the general public.

Some individuals may be asking where they can get a free update to Microsoft’s brand new operating system, which is being sent out in phases to existing Windows 10 customers.

However, some users may be unable to upgrade immediately to Windows 10 as a result of this.

This is when the many installation alternatives, such as the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, which is a distinct programme that you may download, come into play.

For those of you who still have an optical drive on your PC for whatever reason, there are more options, including a Media Creation Tool in addition to an ISO.

The Windows 11 Installation Assistant, on the other hand, is the way to go for those who want the most smooth Windows 11 upgrading experience.

Microsoft has released a new operating system, and it feels different this time.

Starting on October 5, Windows 11 will be available for download, and if you just acquired a new Windows PC, chances are it will be compatible with the new operating system.

Windows 11 isn’t a minor upgrade; it’s a complete redesign of the world’s most popular desktop operating system.

Although the transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11 appears to be little, there is a lot to admire about what Microsoft has accomplished with the new operating system.

The fact that Microsoft is providing all Windows 10 customers a free upgrade to Windows 11 demonstrates that Redmond wants new people to get into PCs for work and leisure.

In some ways, Windows 11 is an introduction to a new generation of PC users who have spent their whole lives using smartphones.

Since June, we’ve been testing Windows 11 beta on a variety of PCs, and we just upgraded to an Acer Aspire 3 running the final software version.

Because this is the initial version of Windows 11, expect a lot more upgrades in the coming months.

Here’s all you need to know about Windows 11 and whether or not you should upgrade to the most recent desktop OS.

Who can download Windows 11?

Windows 11 has arrived, and many users must be wondering: Will my PC be compatible with the new operating system?

When Windows 11 was first announced earlier this year, there was a lot of uncertainty about which devices would work with the new operating system.

Most Windows 11 PCs should be able to run Windows 11.

A 64-bit CPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, UEFI secure boot, and TPM (trusted platform module) 2.0 are the minimum requirements for Windows 11, however the latter may be a difficulty for some.

If you have any questions regarding the requirements, we recommend that you utilise the Microsoft PC Health Check software.

Windows 11 is now available for purchase on new PCs from Asus, Lenovo, HP, and other manufacturers.

A centered Start menu and Taskbar
A centered Start menu and Taskbar

Is Windows 11 visually different from Windows 10?

Yes, Windows 11 features a revamped Start menu and Taskbar that are now located at the bottom of the screen. It has a Mac-like user interface.

The Start menu has been entirely redesigned. Windows 10’s live tiles are no longer available. The Start menu now only displays pinned and suggested apps.

The top section of the menu contains a search bar and pinned apps, while the bottom section offers files, folders, and programmes that are recommended based on your usage behaviour.

In Windows 11, the taskbar is also receiving a big makeover. Windows with softened corners and buttons in the centre of the taskbar are among the UI improvements.

The taskbar cannot be moved to the top or side of the screen.

You can now access widgets directly from the Taskbar

What about Widgets?

Widgets may now be accessed and personalised straight from the Taskbar in Windows 11.

Weather, stocks, sports, pictures, and news widgets will be displayed by default, much like in Windows 10.

Each widget appears in a color-coordinated, rounded rectangle, making them virtually similar.

I heard the System Tray is also getting a makeover

The merged Action and Notification Center is another significant feature in Windows 11.

The goal is to make System Tray seem less congested by simplifying it. The System Tray is still on the Taskbar’s far right.

There are two layouts in Action Center: one for notifications and the other for fast settings.

When you click or press the Wi-Fi or battery symbol, the Quick Settings menu appears.

It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, Battery Saver, Focus Assist, and Accessibility keys by default, as well as sliders for music level and screen brightness.

Better multitasking

Has multitasking being improved in Windows 11?

In Windows 11, multitasking is given considerable attention, and the new Snap Layouts feature highlights the OS’s capabilities.

This is effectively a new productivity tool, and all you have to do is hover your cursor over the Maximize symbol in the upper-right corner of a programme window to view a variety of possible layouts.

The configurations available will be determined by the width of your display.

There are four layout options on a typical 16:9 screen. If you utilise an ultrawide screen, however, you will have six layout options.

It’s a particularly handy tool since it allows users to rapidly select a window layout to enhance productivity.

Can I download Android apps on my Windows 11 PC?

The arrival of Android applications is perhaps the most significant change in Windows 11.

The Microsoft Store has been entirely redesigned, and Microsoft will now allow users to get Android applications through the Amazon Appstore, which will be integrated into the Windows Store for the first time.

The goal of introducing Android apps to Chrome OS is to better compete with it.

The functionality is currently unavailable in the Windows 11 launch edition, but it is expected to be accessible next year.

Microsoft Teams integration

Several new features in Windows 11

These are just a few of the numerous improvements that will be included in Windows 11.

Microsoft Teams will be incorporated directly into the Windows 11 Taskbar, the Edge browser now includes a safe Kids Mode, a revamped Explorer and an enhanced Settings app, and the introduction of new gaming technologies: Auto HDR and DirectStorage will all be included in the new operating system.

Before attempting to install the latest version of Microsoft’s brand-new operating system, you may want to double-check a few items on your machine.

Microsoft is now distributing the update to a small group of customers, so it will not be available to everyone right once.

There is, however, an alternative if you are impatient and want to use Windows 11 right immediately.

Microsoft has released an Installation Assistant that allows users to download and install Windows 11 on compatible devices.

You may get the installation from Microsoft’s website. Follow the instructions below to update your PC to Windows 11 once it has been downloaded.

  • If the UAC prompt appears, select ‘Yes.’ You will then see the Windows 11 licencing agreement, as well as confirmation that your PC meets the minimum system requirements to download and install Windows 11. Select ‘Accept and Install’ from the drop-down menu.
  • The Windows 11 update will now be downloaded by the installer. This process will take some time depending on your internet connection.
  • Microsoft will send you a 30-minute heads-up once the download is complete. This is done so that when your PC restarts to apply the update, you don’t lose any work. When you are ready to apply the update, select ‘Restart Now.’ Alternatively, you may select ‘Restart later’ and Microsoft will finish the installation while you are away from the computer.
  • Your computer will now restart, allowing the update to be installed. Depending on your hardware, this process may take some time. The installation took 10 minutes for me, and I was welcomed by the Windows 11 lock screen.
  • Here you must provide your PIN/Password (if applicable) so that Microsoft can complete the installation, which may take another 5-8 minutes depending on your hardware.

You’ll be brought to the Windows 11 desktop after that, where you may begin utilising the new Windows 11 upgrade.

If you don’t like Windows 11, you can always go back to Windows 10.

How to use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant

  • Select ‘Run’ as an administrator on the system
  • It will check if your PC is compatible, once this is confirmed click ‘Accept and Install’
  • It will begin preparing the installation process, hit ‘Restart Now’ when it appears
  • Your PC will begin to install Windows 11.

Congratulations! You’ve just finished installing Windows 11.
